Happy 4th of July!

Sorry for getting back to you so late! Last week was incredibly busy (I had six shows)! I got through it but was pretty wiped out. I am not playing Jack Divine's today because I have a private party. As most of you know, I do a lot of private shows during the summer. Bare with me.

If you want to add some fun to your 4th of July celebration stop out to Top of the Falls in Niagara Falls, NY. I will play from 7 to 10 PM. The fireworks are amazing, right over the Falls! It's incredible! Top of the Falls is right on Goat Island at the Falls and is literally right above Niagara Falls!

Here's the deal:

Top of the Falls. Terrapin Point, Niagara Falls 14303. 716 278 0340. Friday, July 4 @ 7:00 PM.

Have a wonderful, safe holiday and I will see you soon (maybe next week?),

2 Years Old and 99!

Yesterday afternoon at the Sunset Grille was one of the finest times for me, maybe ever, playing music. Lisa, Ed, Diane, my buddies Shawn and Steve...Great people. As the evening progressed a beautiful little button nosed boy named Joseph started dancing and dancing to my music. Everyone clapped and loved watching as this child just became part of the music! Then, Maybelle, a 99 year old great-grandmother, got up and, with some help, started dancing and clapping away too! From 2 to 99 the crowd watched in beautiful amazement as these two opened our eyes to what is important...You're NEVER too old to dance! There is never a time that we can't enjoy the small things in life as well as the larger ones. I looked out in the audience and watched people smile and clap. They elbowed one another to look at what was happening right in front of them. I'll never forget it!

This week I have five private shows! You can catch me at Jack Divine's on Chippewa on Thursday at 9:30! You'll be able to come to other shows next week for 4th of July weekend (is that next week already?).

Here is the gig this week:

Jack Divine's Irish Pub. 85 W. Chippewa St. 855-8400. Thursday, June 26 @: 9:30 p.m. (every Thursday through Labor Day)

Have a wonderful week!

Good Stuff & Bad Stuff

HI,

First the good stuff...My friends really showed how good hearted and caring they are this weekend. I had the hardest week of my life last week (I'll get into that in a minute). My shows at 41 West in Fredonia, Talty's, the Southshore were off the hook. Most of you don't go to Talty's but I must tell you this past weekend it was so crowded and amazing some people had to leave because of the applause and crowd. People were amazing that night and it was packed! It was probably the most amazing performance I ever did in Buffalo...It was that good! Fredonia was wonderful as was Angola. I also did Niagara Falls Country Club and Lancaster High School (I was pretty busy).

What I'm about to tell you I say as a testament to the true nature of friendship. Over a week ago I was the sickest I have been in 12 years. As I was getting over that my son, Griffin, who I put in treatment for drugs a year ago January, went back to using drugs and has run away in Oklahoma. We don't know where he is and he won't communicate with us. I have lost my son for now. I know God has a plan...I just have to get out of the way. Friday I was driving to a show and a girl on Oak Street made a left turn from the center lane and totaled my van! I have no way of getting my equipment to any shows because a girl rendered my van useless.

Here's where the friends come in. My buddy Shawn crammed most of my stuff in his Ford Taurus and made me play when I wanted to give up. I got out of myself and did what I do best. So many people have Griffin in their prayers and talk to me about this van crap...It really is amazing! I still don't know what I'll do for this weekend's shows...I have no van, but Love and Spirit are all around me. So there it is. That's what I'm up to.

Here are my shows for the week:

Sonoma Grille. 5010 Main St., Snyder. 204-0251. Fri.: Gregg Sansone, 8:30 p.m.

Sunset Grill. 3 O'Connell Island. Wilson. 795-9349. Sun.: Gregg Sansone, 4:00 p.m.

The Southshore Beach Club. 8966 Lakeshore Rd., Angola. 549-3026. Mon.: Gregg Sansone, 7:00 p.m.

Come out and see me if you can. All I can beg you to do is, if you pray, please do so for my son Griffin. We don't know where he is and he is so hurt inside.

Peace,

Gregg

Back from being sick as hell!

Well gang, I have to tell you...I was the sickest I've been in about 12 years this past week. I could not go to North Carolina for my brother's wedding. That broke my heart. But I stayed in and took care of myself. I'm getting over it which is great. I really need to be well because I have five shows to do this week! Two of them are on Thursday and they are private but Friday, Saturday and Sunday are going to be off the hook! Friday I return to 41 West in Fredonia. The place is awesome and it's a "Grass Skirt" party!

Saturday I am back at Talty's! PLEASE make a point to come to Talty's! It is incredible. The fun and sing alongs, friendship and general insanity of this place can't be beat! Sunday I play the Southshore Beach Club's annual anniversary party! It's a blast again! Remember that I start every Monday night at the Southshore on Memorial Day.

Here's the schedule:

41 West. 41 West Main St., Fredonia. 679-4101. Friday, May 16: Gregg Sansone, 8:30 pm.

Talty's. 2056 South Park Ave., 825-9279. Saturday, May 17: Gregg Sansone, 9:00 pm.

Southshore Beach Club. 8966 Lakeshore Rd., Angola. 549-3026. Sunday, May 18: Gregg Sansone, 4:00 pm.

Last year's anniversary party at the Southshore. My good buddy, Ed Strawbrich jammed on "Evil Ways!"

Have a fantastic week and for all you ladies that are mothers, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! You have the hardest job in the world. I hope your day is filled with love!

Peace,

Gregg

Ah...It's finally warm around here!

The weather in Western New York has been beautiful since last Saturday and I've got to tell you that we really earn our nice weather here! By the way, last week's show at Talty's was one of the biggest crowds ever! You could hardly move and the show was tremendous! You really should catch a show at this little gem in South Buffalo!

This week is pretty nice. I'm back at the Sonoma Grille and I start at a new place in Derby. Here is the schedule:

Sonoma Grille. 5010 Main St., Snyder. 204-0251. Fri.: Gregg Sansone, 8:30 p.m.

Have a great week and I'll see you down the road!

Well I Guess It's Spring!

This photo was actually taken from the vineyards in Western New York during spring...

Well, in Western New York the weather is desperately trying to resemble spring!
We actually had a couple warm days! I used the air conditioner in my car! If that seems
miniscule to you out of towners it is not! We appreciate every second of good weather! In any
case, it is a slow week but a good one. I have an 80th birthday party to play on Saturday. Friday
I'm back at Diamond Hawk on Sonwil Dr. in Cheektowaga. It is beautiful and open to the
public. Huge and classy. Check it out!

Diamond Hawk Golf Club. 255 Sonwil Dr. Cheektowaga. 651-0700. Friday, April 11 @ 8:00 pm.

I cannot tell how much fun it is to play when everyone is cheering and asking for more! It is amazing.

This week I return to The Hamburg Gaming Center. The bar is awesome and it always is a blast. Saturday is Talty's. If you've never caught one of my shows at Talty's you're missing out. It is by far the most electric, fun place I play.

The Final Push for Voting and Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi Gang!

This is the final week of on-line voting for the Buffalo Music Awards. I really could use a final push for Solo Artist of the Year. I cannot tell you how important it is with regard to me getting more gigs throughout the year. If you could pass the link on to any friends that would be a great help. You just enter your email address and name. They will send you the ballot by email.

Here is the link:

http://bestofwny.com/bma/index.php?sid=2&newtest=Y or go to: http://bestofwny.com/ and click on the link there.

Happy Thanksgiving. I hope your day is filled with love and family. There is so much to be grateful for.

Fall is Upon Us!

This week was wonderful! I played early shows on Friday and Saturday and was able to have my evenings free. Friday I was at Alexandria's for happy hour. That went well but I was down in the pit so all I saw was the butts of people walking around! Saturday I did the fundraiser for the Angola Moose Lodge. The lodge burned down last month and we raised a ton of money to help re-build. This week is going to be great because I return to the Big Tree Inn for the first time in years! The Big Tree is near and dear to my family. The owner is a personal friend. He underwent MAJOR surgery and this is going to be a bash for him. Lots of my family members will be there. I hope you can come out to Orchard Park and have a ball. I rarely see any of you anymore. It would be nice. Saturday I am in Olean at Mixer's. Mixer's is an absolute blast and if any of you are in that neck of the woods, stop out! Also, I will be playing at Alexandria's Wednesday afternoon, the day before Thanksgiving and then I will head down the street to the Buffalo Brew Pub for their Thanksgiving Eve bash at 9:00 p.m.!

Here's the low down:

The Big Tree Inn. 4277 Abbott Rd., Orchard Park.
649-9892. Fri.: Gregg Sansone, 9:00 p.m.

Mixer's Pub. 204 Coleman St., Olean. 372-1004. Sat.:

Gregg Sansone and the Buffalo Music Awards

Hi Everyone!

I was wondering if you could help me out? I really need a push this year for Solo Artist of the Year for the Buffalo Music Awards. The competition is really tough. By winning it helps me get many more gigs throughout the year. You can vote on line for me...When you go to the link you will have to put in your name and email address. For security purposes they will email the ballot back to you. Leave all categories blank if you don't know anyone...except for the second last page which has me! Just click the circle next to my name.

Here is the link: http://bestofwny.com/bma/index.php?sid=2&newtest=Y

or you can go to the site Best of Western New York.Com and click on the section that says "click here to vote" at http://www.bestofwny.com/

One more thing...Could you PLEASE pass this to as many people that you know so that they can help me too? I know your friends don't know me but if you could ask them to do this for you I would be forever in your debt. One of my competitors is going around to bars and having people fill out paper ballots! I'll let you know when the results come in.

Thanks for everything!

Fall is Here!

Aah! It started tocool off and that means people are coming back to the clubs. This week was pretty amazing. I played 67 West on Chippewa and it was insane Friday night. My best buddy from New York City, Joe Burby came in town. We have singing together for over 25 years. It was incredible. The place was mobbed. Saturday at the Hop Inn was equally mobbed with great friends and awesome music.

This week I start at a new BEAUTIFUL place, the Frog Grill. It is 5 star and an early show on Friday (8:00 p.m.) I could use your support there. Saturday I am back at Talty's...You really have to see it to believe it. We go completely crazy there!

Here's what's going on:

The Frog Grill by Say Cheesecake! 561 Main St., Tonawanda. 694-3700. Fri.: Gregg Sansone, 8 p.m.

Talty's. 2056 South Park Ave. 825-9279. Sat.: Gregg Sansone, 9 p.m.

Hey, Hey, Hey!

I sound like Fat Albert!

What an incredible week I had! My son came to live with me for good this past Tuesday (he's the handsome one in the photo)! Being a full time single dad is pretty busy! God, has Griffin grown up! OK, this week will be great because I play on Chippewa Friday night at 67 West. It is a great place and the plus is that my best friend from New York City, Joe Burby will be in town...Why is that cool?
Because we performed together for 20 years and our voices are incredible together! Check it out. Also, this Saturday I play at the Hop Inn. I will be there the last Saturday of every month from now on (instead of Gordon's).

Here's the skinny:

67 West. 67 W. Chippewa St. 842-0281. Friday, September 28 @ 9:00 p.m.

The Summer is Almost Over!

I can't believe the summer is almost over! I spoke to so many people and they seemed to say the same thing....this was one of the busiest summers in recent times. I can attest to that! I played Talty's again last Saturday and it was crazy as usual. Bart's in Dunkirk was a real summer event!

This week sees the end of my shows at both Top of the Falls and South Shore. Both days will be blow outs! The annual Labor Day party at South Shore should not be missed. You really should try to make it out...It's really the last day of the summer season. When will we have a chance to have summer fun? Not until next year. So here's the schedule for this week:

Top Of The Falls. Terrapin Point. Niagara Falls. 278-0340. Fri.: Gregg Sansone

The South Shore Beach Club. 8966 Lake Shore Rd., Angola. 549-3026. Mon.: Gregg Sansone, 7:00 p.m. Big Labor Day Party!

Holy Crap Have I Been Busy!

Good God, I have been busy as all get out! I guess that's great when you consider September returns to a normal schedule of tewo to three shows a week. I played the Fair on Saturday, had to pack up and get to Akron, NY for another show! Thank God for my roadie, Dave D.! I cannot tell you how difficult it was at the Fair. Moving equipment 1/4 mile to the stage! In any case, it went great and I'm beat! I would love to see you guys...I guess you're busy as hell like me!

I play Talty's this Saturday on South Park in South Buffalo. It is a blast there! The owner is from Ireland and loves the Celtic Rock I do! Check it out:

July 22-July 29

Well...Things couldn't get busier but I know that will all change when September rolls around...Ah, the life of a Rock and Roller! I hope your summer is going well. Get some sun, be with friends and family...that's what life is all about!

This past week was action packed. I will say that the short gig I did on Saturday for a Catholic group here in Western New York was incredible! It was a small group but the pavillion I played in was acoustically phenominal and the people were great! As I write this I am getting ready to play the Buffalo Brew Pub in Williamsville, NY for their annual summer party..whew!

Here's my schedule for the week:

The South Shore Beach Club. 8966 Lake Shore Rd., Angola. 549-3026. Mon.: Gregg Sansone, 7:00 p.m. (every Monday)

67 West. 67 W Chippewa St., 842-0281. Next Thurs.: Gregg Sansone, 9:30 p.m.

I know how busy you all are but maybe you can make it a point to enjoy some sun and music with me before the season is over. If you're in town check out one of my shows...we'll have a great time!

Enjoy your week...Be happy and be safe!

What a Ball!

Hi,

This past week was incredible! The Buffalo River Fest was amazing! Hundreds of people and the crowd went wild! I have a new roadie and he helped out quite a bit. Shanghai Red's went really well too! It was great to be on the water with so many friends and a wonderful crowd of people. This Friday I play at Cabaret on Pearl St. It is right across the street from Shea's and it is gorgeous! I'll be on the patio and I could really use some support. Also, Saturday is the first time I play Riley Street Station. It is a converted train station in East Aurora and it has to be seen to be believed. As I may have mentioned a couple weeks ago, I am starting at a couple new clubs over the upcoming weeks...This week I play at Mode Urban Bistro (this is my first Friday gig and then at the end of the month I'll play every Thursday after the Square at 9:00 there). Mode used to be Le Metro on Elmwood and it is absolutely beautiful there. It's the day before Mother's Day and I was really hoping to get a bunch of you out. I could use a good turn out. Friday I'm at the Hop Inn in South Buffalo and it's ALWAYS a blast there!

Next week I start at Whiskey Joe's on Transit. It is a brand new place and I will be there every Wednesday at 9:00!

Drunk Girls Spilling Beer, The Buffalo Sabres and Getting Your Groove On!

The week was an exciting one to say the least. I started out by playing at the Light House in Olcott, NY on Friday. It went well with a great crowd. A good selection of music and it gave me a chance to try out some new Country stuff. The Buffalo Sabres (if you're not from Buffalo you can't understand the Cup fever we all have) won the second game in a row against the NY Rangers...pretty damn exciting.

Ah, then Saturday rolled along. I played to a great crowd at Gordon's (I'm there every last Saturday of the month). A group of girls partied and danced like savages all night in front of my keyboards. They kept smashing into my mic while a bouncer tried to insure they didn't really do any damage...No such luck... My friends Ed and Diane Strawbrich, Maria, Mellisa and Cindy, all looked on in horror as a girl smashed into my keyboards spilling a pint of beer all over my bottom keyboards! Needless to say I was pretty shaken up. I had to clean up everything and, as of this posting, I don' know if I have to spend a ton of loot to get a new board. I couldn't use it...It shorted! In any case, that is the trials of Rock and Roll...The girl was just having a good time and got carried away. It could have been worse...People could've just sat there and not had any fun...That would suck!

This week I'm taking Friday off and playing a huge Cinco de Mayo show at Bart's Cove in Dunkirk, NY. I go to see my son this Sunday so I'm pretty psyched!

Here's the skinny:

Bart's Cove Marina. 1/2 Woodrow Dr., Dunkirk. 366-8243. Saturday, May 5 @ 9:00 p.m.

Have a great week...By the way, All my chords and keyboards smell like beer! I wouke up and caught my brother licking the keys!

Finally Some Sun!

As I sit here writing this I'm looking out my window and it's wonderfully sunny! I hope those of you who live in Western New York are enjoying this. This past week I was far away from everyone. I played in the Dunkirk/Fredonia area all weekend. The gigs went well (except the Dunkirk Moose Lodge was filled with a bunch of old guys!). This week I'm back in Buffalo at Gordon's. Try to make it out if you're in the area because Gordon's really is an awesome place to party and enjoy my shows.

Here's the deal:

The Light House. 5855 Main St., Olcott. 870-6530. Friday, April, 27 @ 10:00 p.m.

Gordon's. 2263 Delaware Ave. 874-3020. Saturday, April 28 @ 10:00 p.m.

This summer will be a blast! I'll be back at the South Shore every Monday night. Every Friday night I'll be at the Top of The Falls Restaurant in Niagara Falls, NY. I will also be playing the Buffalo River Fest in mid June. Every other Sunday afternoon I'll play Bart's Cove Marina in Dunkirk. That's really a wonderful place on the water. I'll also play various bars in the Buffalo area so I'll keep you all posted.

Have a great week and I hope to see you soon!

Brrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

For those of you who live in Western New York I think you'll agree with me that the weather is terrible! Man, it's like winter all over again! What warmed me up this past week was going to Merlins' last Thursday and seeing my great buddy, Ed Strawbrich and his band Last Exit! They kicked ass and were so tight on their tunes! I really enjoyed it. I played at the Hop Inn on Friday and Bart's on Saturday. Both were great shows. I feel a little bad that none of you came out but it went well just the same (with the exception of a blizzard Saturday night in Dunkirk).

This week I play out of town for all my gigs...Thurday in Niagara Falls, Friday in Dunkirk and Saturday in Fredonia. Check the calender on www.greggsansone.com if you want more info. I got great news today...The old Le Metro on Elmwood Ave. hired me today for a couple shows! I'll keep you posted. It's a wonderful venue. Have a great week and stay warm!!!

Easter Week

It was a nice week! Friday at Tony Rome's went well. I had a lot of friends show up and it was a blast!. Mixer's was a blast in Olean but I was pretty tired. This week I will be back at the Hop Inn in South Buffalo. If you live in the area, try to make it because it was an absolutey wonderful time last time I was there. It's tiny and the owners are great! Also, as many of you know, last summer I played on and off at Bart's Cove Marina in Dunkirk, NY. I cannot tell you how awesome it is there...Really great. This Saturday I will play their opening season party. I will play every other Sunday throughout the summer as well. I hope you guys can make it out sometime.

O.K....Enough is enough. Here's the skinny:

The Hop Inn. 317 Hopkins St. 822-2337. Friday, April 13 @ 9:00 p.m.

Bart's Cove Marina. 1/2 Woodrow Dr., Dunkirk. 366-8243. Saturday, April 14 @ 9:00 p.m.

Have a wonderful week and for those of you who live in a warmer climate than we do in Buffalo, send some of the heat this way!

Peace,

Gregg

What a Great Party!

What a great birthday party it was! Gregg is seen here with his father, Dan Sansone at Gordon's On Delaware Ave. in Buffalo, NY. Gregg is seen belting out a tune and some of the party goers took time out to clown around for the camera! It was a wonderful time for Gregg, his family and friends.

This week sees the return of Gregg to Tony Rome's and Mixer's. Here's the schedule:

Tony Rome's. 1537 Union Rd. West Seneca. 675-4351. Fri.: Gregg Sansone, 9:00 p.m.

MIxer's Pub. 204 Coleman St., Olean. 372-1004. Sat.: Gregg Sansone, 9:00 p.m.

For those of you who celebrate it, Happy Easter!
