Drunk Girls Spilling Beer, The Buffalo Sabres and Getting Your Groove On!

The week was an exciting one to say the least. I started out by playing at the Light House in Olcott, NY on Friday. It went well with a great crowd. A good selection of music and it gave me a chance to try out some new Country stuff. The Buffalo Sabres (if you're not from Buffalo you can't understand the Cup fever we all have) won the second game in a row against the NY Rangers...pretty damn exciting.

Ah, then Saturday rolled along. I played to a great crowd at Gordon's (I'm there every last Saturday of the month). A group of girls partied and danced like savages all night in front of my keyboards. They kept smashing into my mic while a bouncer tried to insure they didn't really do any damage...No such luck... My friends Ed and Diane Strawbrich, Maria, Mellisa and Cindy, all looked on in horror as a girl smashed into my keyboards spilling a pint of beer all over my bottom keyboards! Needless to say I was pretty shaken up. I had to clean up everything and, as of this posting, I don' know if I have to spend a ton of loot to get a new board. I couldn't use it...It shorted! In any case, that is the trials of Rock and Roll...The girl was just having a good time and got carried away. It could have been worse...People could've just sat there and not had any fun...That would suck!

This week I'm taking Friday off and playing a huge Cinco de Mayo show at Bart's Cove in Dunkirk, NY. I go to see my son this Sunday so I'm pretty psyched!

Here's the skinny:

Bart's Cove Marina. 1/2 Woodrow Dr., Dunkirk. 366-8243. Saturday, May 5 @ 9:00 p.m.

Have a great week...By the way, All my chords and keyboards smell like beer! I wouke up and caught my brother licking the keys!

Finally Some Sun!

As I sit here writing this I'm looking out my window and it's wonderfully sunny! I hope those of you who live in Western New York are enjoying this. This past week I was far away from everyone. I played in the Dunkirk/Fredonia area all weekend. The gigs went well (except the Dunkirk Moose Lodge was filled with a bunch of old guys!). This week I'm back in Buffalo at Gordon's. Try to make it out if you're in the area because Gordon's really is an awesome place to party and enjoy my shows.

Here's the deal:

The Light House. 5855 Main St., Olcott. 870-6530. Friday, April, 27 @ 10:00 p.m.

Gordon's. 2263 Delaware Ave. 874-3020. Saturday, April 28 @ 10:00 p.m.

This summer will be a blast! I'll be back at the South Shore every Monday night. Every Friday night I'll be at the Top of The Falls Restaurant in Niagara Falls, NY. I will also be playing the Buffalo River Fest in mid June. Every other Sunday afternoon I'll play Bart's Cove Marina in Dunkirk. That's really a wonderful place on the water. I'll also play various bars in the Buffalo area so I'll keep you all posted.

Have a great week and I hope to see you soon!

Brrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

For those of you who live in Western New York I think you'll agree with me that the weather is terrible! Man, it's like winter all over again! What warmed me up this past week was going to Merlins' last Thursday and seeing my great buddy, Ed Strawbrich and his band Last Exit! They kicked ass and were so tight on their tunes! I really enjoyed it. I played at the Hop Inn on Friday and Bart's on Saturday. Both were great shows. I feel a little bad that none of you came out but it went well just the same (with the exception of a blizzard Saturday night in Dunkirk).

This week I play out of town for all my gigs...Thurday in Niagara Falls, Friday in Dunkirk and Saturday in Fredonia. Check the calender on www.greggsansone.com if you want more info. I got great news today...The old Le Metro on Elmwood Ave. hired me today for a couple shows! I'll keep you posted. It's a wonderful venue. Have a great week and stay warm!!!

Easter Week

It was a nice week! Friday at Tony Rome's went well. I had a lot of friends show up and it was a blast!. Mixer's was a blast in Olean but I was pretty tired. This week I will be back at the Hop Inn in South Buffalo. If you live in the area, try to make it because it was an absolutey wonderful time last time I was there. It's tiny and the owners are great! Also, as many of you know, last summer I played on and off at Bart's Cove Marina in Dunkirk, NY. I cannot tell you how awesome it is there...Really great. This Saturday I will play their opening season party. I will play every other Sunday throughout the summer as well. I hope you guys can make it out sometime.

O.K....Enough is enough. Here's the skinny:

The Hop Inn. 317 Hopkins St. 822-2337. Friday, April 13 @ 9:00 p.m.

Bart's Cove Marina. 1/2 Woodrow Dr., Dunkirk. 366-8243. Saturday, April 14 @ 9:00 p.m.

Have a wonderful week and for those of you who live in a warmer climate than we do in Buffalo, send some of the heat this way!

Peace,

Gregg
