Happy New Year!

Hi Gang,

Just wanted to wish you all a wonderful and safe New Year! Christmas was spent with family and good food! I hope your Christmas or other holidays were filled with happiness. Last week was great! I played Tony Rome's and Club W and both places were filled with holiday partiers. Just wanted you to know that I will NOT be playing Filippo's this Friday. I am taking the weekend off. I need it. Sunday (New Year's Eve) I play the Park Country Club and Monday (New Years) I play the Falcon Club in Dunkirk, NY so I'll be pretty busy. Keep in touch and let's make 2007 an awesome year!

Peace,

Gregg

Ho Ho Ho! Merry Christmas!

Well...I can't believe Christmas is a week from today! It just seems like yesterday that we were knee deep in sand and enjoying the summer. Ah, time marches on! This week, leading up to Christmas is my favorite time of year...Christmas Eve and Christmas Day....Family, friends, music and food! All the kids going crazy with presents and laughter...I love it! I REALLY hope you can make Friday's or Saturday's shows. They are two HUGE Christmas parties and I will be in full form!!! Here is where I'm playing:

Tony Rome's. 1537 Union Road, West Seneca. 675-4351.
www.tonyromes.com. Friday, Dec. 22 @ 9:00 p.m.

Club W. 199 Delaware Ave., 840-9552. Saturday, Dec. 23 @ 10 p.m.

Everyone knows how much fun we have at Tony Rome's...The Christmas show is 100 times bigger!

Club W is, without a doubt, the best club in the Chippewa district. Saturday, Dec. 23 is our massive Christmas party. I haven't played downtown in a while and this is a great chance to celebrate together in a club that is really incredible!

A Christmas Poem by George Wither

So now is come our joyful feast,
Let every man be jolly;
Each room with ivy leaves is dressed,
And every post with holly.
Though some churls at our mirth repine,
Round your foreheads garlands twine,
Drown sorrow in a cup of wine,
And let us all be merry.

Now all our neighbors' chimneys smoke,
And Christmas blocks are burning;
Their ovens they with baked meats choke,
And all their spits are turning.
Without the door let sorrow lie,
And if for cold it hap to die,
We'll bury it in a Christmas pie,
And evermore be merry.

Now every lad is wondrous trim,
And no man minds his labor;
Our lasses have provided them
A bagpipe and a tabor.
Young men and maids, and girls and boys,
Give life to one another's joys;
And you anon shall by their noise
Perceive that they are merry.

Rank misers now do sparing shun,
Their hall of music soundeth;
And dogs thence with whole shoulders run,
So all things aboundeth.
The country-folk themselves advance,
For crowdy-mutton's come out of France;
And Jack shall pipe and Jill shall dance,
And all the town be merry.

Ned Swatch hath fetched his bands from pawn,
And all his best apparel;
Brisk Nell hath bought a ruff of lawn
With droppings of the barrel.
And those that hardly all the year
Had bread to eat or rags to wear,
Will have both clothes and dainty fare,
And all the day be merry.

Now poor men to the justices
With capons make their errands;
And if they hap to fail of these,
They plague them with their warrants.
But now they feed them with good cheer,
And what they want they take in beer,
For Christmas comes but once a year,
And then they shall be merry.

Good farmers in the country nurse
The poor, that else were undone;
Some landlords spend their money worse,
On lust and pride at London.
There the roisters they do play,
Drab and dice their land away,
Which may be ours another day;
And therefore let's be merry.

The client now his suit forbears,
The prisoner's heart is eased;
The debtor drinks away his cares,
And for the time is pleased.
Though others' purses be more fat,
Why should we pine or grieve at that;
Hang sorrow, care will kill a cat,
And therefore let's be merry.

Hark how the wags abroad do call
Each other forth to rambling;
Anon you'll see them in the hall,
For nuts and apples scrambling;
Hark how the roofs with laughter's sound,
Anon they'll think the house goes round;
For they the cellar's depths have found,
And there they will be merry.

The wenches with their wassail-bowls
About the streets are singing;
The boys are come to catch the owls,
The wild mare in is bringing.
Our kitchen boy hath broke his box,
And to the dealing of the ox
Our honest neighbors come by flocks,
And here they will be merry.

Now kings and queens poor sheep-cotes have,
And mate with everybody;
The honest now may play the knave,
And wise men play at noddy.
Some youths will now a mumming go,
Some others play at Rowland-hoe,
And twenty other gameboys moe;
Because they will be merry.

Then wherefore in these merry days
Should we, I pray, be duller?
No, let us sing some roundelays
To make our mirth the fuller.
And whilst we thus inspired sing,
Let all the streets with echoes ring;
Woods, and hills, and everything
Bear witness we are merry.

Merry Christmas everyone!

A great week but a much needed rest!

This week was awesome and full. Wednesday night was the Buffalo Music Awards (the photo is of me putting my award for Solo Artist of the Year in Ed Strawbrich's crotch while his wife, Diane laughed off the chair) and I won for the second year in a row. Thursday I did a private show. Friday I did two shows. First with the Michael Bly Band and then at Tony Rome's in West Seneca, NY. Saturday I was at the Lighthouse in Olcott, NY. I rocked until 2:00 A.M. and got back by 5:00! This week is less full. I am playing the Buffalo Bills Christmas party at Ralph Wilson Stadium so that will be exciting. Saturday I play the Hamburg Moose for their Christmas party. That is open to the public so feel free to stop out. You can get all my calender infor by clicking Here:

I hope you all have a great week and I look forward to seeing you down the road...Oh, by the way, I have a new Gregg Sansone T-Shirt at my store site...Go here to view it:

The Buffalo Music Awards

The Buffalo Music Awards were held Wednesday night, December 6 at Club Infinity. It was an awesome evening with great bands playing the whole night. Cool sound and a chance for me to see all my musician friends that I haven't seen in a year. I never get to see my buddies because we always gig at the same time and the BMAs are a great time to catch up. In any case, I was nominated for Solo Artist of the Year and when they read off the nominees they called my name as the winner! Yep, I won top solo artist. It was incredibly rewarding because the is the second year in a row that I won the award. I really want to thank all the people that supported me and voted for me (you know who you are). The photos to your left are: Donna and Maria, great fans and wonderful supporters, me on stage accepting my award (notice the fog from the fog machine), and me with my long time agent and great friend, Frank Sansone. For more information about my shows and such click on this link to my home page:

Rock on people! I hope to see you down the road some time!

This week was great! I love the holiday season...I see everyone really getting into it (sadly,
though, the stores are nuts right now)...People just seem to be happier and I just love the
feeling in the air. My shows went great this week. I had my young roadie help me on Friday
at the Sonoma Grille and my great buddy Tom Waters and his boss helped me at Simmie's.
It was great to be back in Lancaster at Simmie's. A bunch of my friends showed up taht I
had not seen in a while. I even did some of my originals! This week is great because I
return to Tony Rome's (on Friday) in West Seneca and we all know what a blast that place
is! Saturday I'm at the Lighthouse in Olcott. If you've never been there you're missing out.
It such a wonderful place to play..Everyone really has a blast there when I play.

Wednesday night is the Buffalo Music Awards at Club Infinity on Main St. in Williamsville
(just past Transit). If you want to have a great time come down to Infinity and enjoy about
seven great bands and see people, and groups, get awards...It really is a great time. By the
way, the Michael Bly Band is playing the VIP Party at 6:00. Mike's up for Rock Vocalist, his
bass player, John is up for best rock bass player and Mike's band is up for best new band.
I'm up for solo artist of the year so we'll see what happens.

Here is what's going on this week:

Tony Rome's. 1537 Union Road, West Seneca. 675-4351. www.tonyromes.com. Friday,
Dec. 8 @ 9:00 p.m.

Hi Everyone!

This past week was pretty awesome! Although I'm tired from the shows things are going great...I'm healing well. It was great to catch up with old friends! I met up with my buddy Jim Perkins. He's an old college buddy and he drove to Rochester and I saw him for the first time in 22 years! Also, Maria Hejna and some of the gang (from my Yahoo Groups Site) came out and saw me at the Buffalo Brew Pub on Thanksgiving Eve. She took great photos and proved that she continues to be a great supporter of mine and a wonderful friend! Friday went incredible at Mixer's in Olean and Gordon's was packed! Whew...By the way, I was totally surprised this week when I found out that the Buffalo News featured me in the Gusto on Friday! Here is the link:

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hey Everybody!

The road to recovery is long but worth it. I'm feeling better every day. Friday I played at Sonoma Grille and it was great (despite the fact that I had to compete with the Buffalo Sabres). The crowd really enjoyed it. I hired a roadie to help me and help he did...The young man carried all the equipment in and set everything up. All I had to do was sing! I was really tired though...Saturday my great friend Ed Strawbrich came all the way to Dunkirk and set up everything...Hell, he even drove! Ed jammed with his new Les Paul to a number of cool tunes including "Another Brick in The Wall!"

This week will be kind of busy. If you aren't doing anything Wednesday night come down to the Buffalo Brew Pub at Main and Transit in Williamsville. I play there every year the night before Thanksgiving. It really is packed and it's ALWAYS a ball!

Here is my schedule this week:

Buffalo Brew Pub. 6861 Main St. Williamsville. 632-0552. Wednesday, Nov. 22 @ 9:00 p.m.

Mixer's Pub. 204 Coleman St. Olean. 372-1004. Friday, Nov. 24 @ 8:00 p.m.

Gordon's. 2263 Delaware Ave. 874-3020. Saturday, Nov. 25 @ 10:00 p.m.

Everyone have a wonderful, spirit filled holiday. Let's try to remember all the things we are grateful for. I am filled with family, friends and you people! Thanks for being in my life!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Halloween in Buffalo!

Man oh man...Halloween Weekend in Buffalo can't be beat! Friday I played at the Light House in Olcott and I was a pirate...The place was mobbed and great costumes were worn by all. Saturday I was Marc Antony with the short gladiator skirt and all (I don't know how you girls do it). I played at Gordon's and it was a mad house. We had such a great time. Ed and Diane Strawbrich came out as well as Maria, Lynn and Cindy. Maria took plenty of photos so look back this week for the AWESOME photos! Wait until you see the costumes!

This is the last week of playing for me until my surgery on November 6. If any of you are in the area, I will be at Millard Filmore Gates Circle Monday, Nov. 6. My surgery is in the morning but I would love visitors that day. I will leave the hospital Tuesday. I will be off until Friday Nov. 17. Bare with me though...I will have to get a roadie to help me for the first couple months because I won't be able to bend. Once I'm healed I will do my best to shake my money maker!

All right...Here's where I'm at this week:

Filippo's Ristorante. 1264 Hertel Ave. 447-5685. Friday, Nov. 3 @ 11:30 p.m. (it's late but the restaurant and bar is soooo awesome! The owners are right off the boat from Italy. It's my first time there. I could use the support)

41 West Bar and Grill. 41 West Main St. Fredonia.
679-4101. Saturday, Nov. 4 @ 9:00 p.m. (I love playing this college town. The crowd is frigging incredible and the bar is beautiful).

Have a great week..Remember to come back here later this week or to my home page at www.greggsansone.com for all the Halloween photos!

Peace!

The Buffalo Music Awards Ballot

I was wondering if you could help me? As you may know, I won Solo Artist of the Year for the Buffalo Music Awards last year. I was voted on by people in the music business and musicians. This year they have changed it so everyone can vote (even people from out of town and around the world)! I was wondering if you could click on the link below and vote...Let me explain though...When you click the link you will be taken to a window that will ask for your name and email address. You will then be sent the link to the ballot (this is to insure people don't cheat). If there is a catagory you don't know just leave it blank and click the "Next" box at the bottom of the page or just leave catagories blank or pick something that sounds good :-) .

I would ask that you vote for me, Gregg Sansone, in the "Solo" catagory.

In the "New Group" catagory please vote for The Michael Bly Band (They are by far the best new band in Buffalo).

For "Rock Bassist" please vote for Micheal's bassist, John "Daytona" Coccia (he kicks butt!).

Here is the link:

http://bestofwny.com/bma/index.php?sid=1

Oh, one more thing...Can you pass this link to as many people as you know? You can copy and paste this in a bulletin on MySpace or any email list you might have...I cannot tell you how important this is. If an individual or band wins you get incredible exposure and much more business.

Thank you so much for helping me!

Hoirrible Storm!

Hi Everyone,

I am writing this on a borrowed computer. As many of you may know, Western New York was hit by a terrible freak storm last Thursday which left 380,000 homes without power and many without water. I live in Amherst and it is one of the hardest hit areas. There is a state of emergency. Sadly, I was not able to play any of my three gigs this past week. I don't know whan I will get power but I will try to keep you posted. This week I play a new place in Fredonia called 41 West Bar and Grille. It is really nice. I will make every attempt to be there. Friday I have a private function to play. I was really hoping to see some of you at Filippo's and/or Griffin's this past week! Oh well, there's always next time.

Here's the skinny on Friday:

41 West Bar and Grille. 41 West Main St., Fredonia. 679-4101. Friday, Oct. 20 @ 8:00 p.m.

If any of you were hit by this terrible storm (I know many of you were) I hope all is well and you get through it fine.

Peace,

Gregg

October 6,7 and 8

This past week was awesome! Friday I played in Dunkirk at the Moose Lodge no
less...There were alot of people and they had a blast. The real treat
was Saturday. I played a private show in the North Towns and left
early with Lisa. We decided to go hear a Steely Dan tribute band paly
at the Pizza Plant. The band's name is Group Therapy. It turns out I
know a bumch of the guys in the band. Music legend Jim Wynn (from
About Face and Gamilon) was on keyboards, my high school classmate,
Marty Ramondo on Drums. I wound up sitting in with them because their
main vocalist was out sick. It frigging rocked. Playing music for fun
and jamming with incredible music. Afterwards Lisa, myself and most of
the members of Group Therapy went to the Scotch and Sirloin to hear
Gamilon! It was unbelievable! I cannot tell you how good they were!
Drummer Ted Reinhart has to be the finest drummer in WNY! The
guitarists were out of control!

Alrighty...enough about what thrills me...I'm at a new place this week
called Filippo's on Hertel. It's beautiful and I could use the support
because it's my first time there. Try to make it if you can. I'm also
back at Griffin's in South Buffalo...we always have a great time there!

Fairgrounds Gaming and Raceway Clubhouse. Erie County Fairgrounds,
5600 McKinley Parkway (use South Park entrance), Hamburg. 646-6109.
Friday, 10/13 @ 6 p.m.

Filippo's. 1264 Hertel Ave. 447-5683. Friday, 10/13 @ 11:30 p.m.

Griffin's Irish Pub. 81 Abbott Rd. Saturday, 10/14 @ 10:00 p.m.

Have a great week gang!

I'm Back!

Hi Everyone!

Well, after a great 4 days (90 degrees every day) in Oklahoma City with Lisa and my son (it was an awesome birthday for him) I'm back and ready to go! This week is kind of strange but fun...I will be at the Dunkirk Moose Lodge of all places this Friday (I spoke about places like this with Michael Bly last week...we laughed pretty hard). The lodge is open to everyone and I guess it's a blast.

Saturday is a private show so I guess you'll have to travel to Dunkirk on Friday or wait until next week when I am in North Buffalo and South Buffalo....I'll keep you posted. Here's the skinny on this week:

Dunkirk Moose Lodge. 296 Lakeshore Dr. Dunkirk. (716) 366-5322. Friday, Oct. 6 @ 9:00 p.m.

Saturday is a private gig so I might be able to check out other friends shows...That would be a treat for once!

Check out my full schedule at:

Have a great week. I'll see you all over the next couple weeks (I hope)!

Off For a Couple Weeks!

Hi Everybody,

What a weekend it was! The Sonoma Grille was great fun but the real party was at Gordon's...It was jam packed! People came from everywhere. Even the club owner came up to me and said it was remarkable! The entire crowd was singing along with me to "Sweet Caroline" and a ton more tunes! It was a great party! The next couple weeks are pretty good for me but if you want to see me you'll have to wait to the second week of October. Lisa and I are flying to Oklahoma for my son's birthday party! Unbelievable! I'll keep you posted as to the shows the following week! Keep in touch and stay happy!

Howdy Ho!

Well we're rapidly approaching fall and things are slowing down a bit. I love when the leaves start changing and such....I call it "Simon and Garfunkle Weather." This past week was really good. I played Friday night at Mixer's in Olean. They are such great people! They really treat me well and enjoy the music. Saturday Lisa and I went to the Light House in Olcott for the Celtic Festival. I played some Irish music and guys in kilts showed up! This week is great because I'm really close to home. Friday at the Sonoma, Saturday at Gordon's and Sunday at a benefit on Abbott Road. Here's the skinny:

Sonoma Grille. 5010 Main St., Snyder. 204-0251. Fri. 9/22 @ 8:30 p.m. (I'll play indoors this time so the cops don't come again!)

Gordon's. 2263 Delaware Ave. 874-3020. Sat. 9/23 @ 10:00 p.m. (Gordon's rules! Wonderful party atmosphere with a great old bar. People are generally neighbors there)

Lucarelli's. 1830 Abbott Rd. Lackawanna. 824-8711.
Sun. 9/24 @ 3:30 p.m. (This is a benefit for Mike Walsh and all are invited. PLEASE come out and help this poor man out. I'm doing about 4 hours of music. Maybe we can get Michael Bly to come out and join me for some songs...)

Well, have a great week. I really do hope some of you can come out and see me now. I'm back, closer in town and the summer has drawn to a close.

Enjoy the leaves,

Gregg

September 4-10

This past week was nice because it wasn't so busy that I was running around in circles. Friday was interesting because I played the Sonoma Grille. I was outside playing early...Lisa was there along with Maria, Lynn and Donna from my Yahoo Group (Gregg's Yahoo Group)...The police were called TWICE because an old lady across the street kept complaining...Even the police officer laughed! Ooh, I was playing that crazy Billy Joel and Santana stuff...It must have driven the old woman nuts when I did a couple Sinatra tunes...She must've thought there was a drunken brawl going on! Sonoma was slapped with a citation! I kid you not!

Saturday was great because I had an early private show in Orchard Park, NY. Lisa and I wound up going to Gordon's because my great friend Kevin McCarthy was playing. We had a ball! As we were enjoying the show, Ed and Diane Strawbrich came in (they thought I was playing) and we spent the night listening to a great guy! Kevin called me up and I did about three songs with him...I love the harmonies! Stay tuned to this site for photos...Diane took a number of them and I'll post them soon.

Sunday I played at Briarwood Country Club for the Faulk School 20th anniversary party. That went awesome!

This week I'm playing in clubs again but it's kind of far...Olean on Friday and Olcott on Saturday...I'm also doing a benefit for Make a Wish on Saturday afternoon. Here's how the schedule looks:

Mixers Pub. 204 Coleman St., Olean. 372-1004. Friday, 9/15 @ 9:30 p.m. (Mixer's is an absolute ball...Jody and Michael are awesome and the crowd has a blast)

Lighthouse Grill-n-Spirits. 5885 E. Main St., Olcott. 778-5580. Saturday, 9/16 @ 10 p.m. (check this out because Olcott is having a Celtic Festival all day...It is huge with various stages set up, booths and food. I will be doing traditional Irish music as well as my regular show!)

After this week I'm coming closer to home!

Have a great week!

Whew...The Summer is Over!

The idea that the summer is over is a bit sad. I love the warmth and everything that goes along with the warmer months. But, the busy, hectic weeks of the summer are another thing. I enjoy doing all the shows and meeting new people, making connections and performing my heart out. My throat, on the other hand, begs me to rest! So, now I enter into September. My Monday and Thursday gigs are through for the summer season. I will play a Thursday once a month at the Byrncliff resort. We'll do that until next summer. Labor Day was my last day at the South Shore and it went well. No rain and I saw a bunch of my friends. Lisa and her son, Patrick came out and some patrons really enjoyed the show. They had never heard me before. I did a wedding Sunday at a beautiful place but it was damp and rainy...Yuck! This week I get back to my regular schedule. I hope to see many of you this season...Things slow down for all of us. This would be a good chance to catch up with one another. See you soon!

Another Five shows and a new look!

What a great week! I did a bunch of shows, whew! Mixer's in Olean was a blast! Jody and the gang were absolutely incredible! We danced and partied. The gay guys had a ball (no pun intended Mike) and the lesbians all wondered where Lisa, my fiance was! Jody is awesome and I love playing there! Saturday was Gordon's on Delaware...another good time...We all partied and closed the joint...Sunday was awesome because I played Bart's Cove Marina...We all thought it would rain and instead the sky stayed clear! They set up a big stage outside for me...People went crazy for the show! I love playing when everyone really appreciates the music and has a ball! Lisa helped me because my back is so screwed up. She had a great time and made new friends! I also got about three gigs from the show!

The real news is the re-vamping of my web site! Check out my site at:

www.greggsansone.com (click here)

The whole site is cleaner and more streamlined. There's a new video page and the links and contact page are different. Check it out!

Playing the Fair and working my butt off!

What's really strange is how busy I am in the summer (5 shows two weeks ago, 5 last week, 5 this week) and then how it will drop off in September! This past week I played various places, most notably, America's Fair (The Erie County Fair). There was a huge crowd at the fair and Lisa (my fiance) and her son, Patrick helped me move equipment. Thank God they did because the crap had to be moved about 1/4 mile from where we had to park! Yikes! Anyway, what I was saying is that after this week things start to dwindle...Most of the private shows are over until Christmas time so I actually go back to two or three gigs a week (usually two)...What a pain in the butt! I really enjoy playing and seeing all of you...By the way, if you want to check out a couple originals I wrote go to my MySpace site here:

Gregg's MySpace Site (Click me)

Have a good one and I hope to see you soon!

Playing for a Buffalo Bill!

It was quite a week! Five shows in a row! That's a lot of work but worth it! I did my regular Monday and Thursday gigs but I also did some great private shows. Friday I played a wonderful wedding reception at Letchworth State Park. It was beautiful and the bride's father was from Italy...we spoke Italian and had a blast! Saturday was great because I played a private party for Steve Christie (former kicker for the Buffalo Bills) in Ellicottville, New York. We had an incredible time! Lisa and I stayed and partied with them for hours afterwards! Sunday was the Buffalo Brew Pub's annual summer bash. That was awesome as well. A great crowd and really good music...I'm gearing up because I have five more shows to do this week, including America's Fair!

Sunday, August 06, 2006

The Summer's Pretty Damn Busy For Me!

Whew!

This past week was pretty hectic and the next two weeks I have five shows per week! It suffice to say, I am enjoying this stuff but I'm preparing for the big slow down by the end of September. All the private shows dry up until December. This past week I played the Buffalo Launch Club and it went fantastic! My fiance, Lisa stayed the whole night with my buddy Mike and everyone enjoyed the music. I love playing there...Now if only my weasle manager would book me more gigs there like he used to! He replaced me with a Sinatra tribute guy. Any way....It's all good. If you want to keep up on some cool things go to these two links:

This past week

All is pretty cool. I have been working on a podcast all week so it has kept me busy. I can't wait to have my radio program on line...It should be awesome! I had a terrible week gig wise because the weather stopped me from playing two shows...Friday's show went well...but it rained agian (like Thursday AND Saturday)...This week (Friday) I will play at the Buffalo Launch Club (http://buffalolaunchclub.com/)

That's always a wonderful time. I start at 7:00...I play at The Byrncliff (http://www.byrncliff.com/) on Thursday and Monday I'll be at the South Shore Beach Club. I hope all is well. It'll be good to see some of you out at one of my shows.

July 17 to 24

Well, well, well....I had a pretty busy week this past week....Five shows...(sorta). Thursday was at the Byrncliff again and that always goes welll despite the fact that most of the people are pretty old (they appreciate the music but I miss playing downtown on Thursdays). Friday I was supposed to play Borello's Little Italy. I wound up not playing that night because they didn't have a permit to play outside...Bummer...I'll play there in the fall. Saturday I played Gordon's....Man, I love that place! The Gordon brothers and their parents, Gene and Chris are so warm and kind. There wasn't a big crowd but a good time was had by all. Sunday I played Bart's Cove Marina in Dunkirk, NY. That was completely off the hook! There were a ton of people, I played on the water and I wound up getting 4 gigs out of it at different clubs and venues (I'm going to have to pay the owners acommission on gigs)! I'm back there in August...I can't wait! Monday I was at the South Shore and my parents showed up for some fun....It was a great time as usual. Nothing new going on...Check out my schedule at www.greggsansone.com for more info! Peace!

What a great week!

I was incredibly busy this week but it was a blast! I did five shows in a row...Thursady at Byrncliff Resort, Friday at Mixer's Pub, Saturday at the St. Francis Raider Fest, Sunday at my buddy's son's graduation party and Monday at the South Shore! I have to tell you that playing at Mixer's in Olean is one of the high points of my gigs....It's a gay bar (not that I'm gay or anything....it's just that the people are awesome!) and everyone has a blast when I go there. I always take my fiance, Lisa there and she has a ball too (all the lesbians love her!)! Jody (the owner) treats me like a king (not queen) and the music is energy filled! I played at my old high school, St. Francis, on Saturday for their Raider-Fest. It was great to see some graduates whom I haven't seen in years...All in all it was a great week! Oh, here is a nice clip that made me laugh pretty hard....Enjoy!

June 22, 23 & 24

I have been having a great time with my son. God, family is so important. It's great to be a dad! Thursday I played at the Byrncliff and, although it rather subdued, it's a nice place with a great owner. Friday was another story. I played the Furnace in Orchard Park NY and the owner didn't pay me. He told me he didn't have the money...Regardless of the fact that the bar was filled with people to see me! I can't believe it. This has never happened to me!

Saturday I did a wedding for a person who is almost my sister, Dawn Fiato. It was awesome! I played at Kissing Bridge Ski Resort and the manager will be booking me for the upcoming year! My family was there partying and a fun time was had by all. More news next week. I am doing a couple private shows this weekend so I will see some of you in a couple weeks.

June 15-16-17

This weekend was murder! Thursday was fine at the Byrncliff...The owner's daughter made up booklets with my song list inside. This gives people the chance to get involved and ask for various songs...Good idea. Friday I was at Borello's Little Italy. The owner got mad at my fiance, Lisa for talking to a lesbian! Apparently the owner has issues with this particular woman and she couldn't take that Lisa was having a good time with these people! Pretty damn uncomfortable to say the least! Saturday I had to drive 92 miles just to do a wedding reception. A tire blew out on the van on the way there and I didn't have a spare! The Thruway Authority towed me to Pep Boys and they put another tire on in no time...I was late by only an hour or so...But I paid $200 to get there!

On the bright side, my son, Griffin came in this week to stay with me for a month...I'm psyched! Much more going on....A lot of private gigs...I'll keep you posted!

Gregg Performs with Michael Bly

How cool is this?...I played the South Shore Beach Club on Memorial Day and it was 85 degrees! Friends and family showed up in droves... I asked my buddy, local musician, Michael Bly to join me on some songs and this is a clip of us doing "Santaria" by Sublime. What a day it was!

Kinda Slow

Things went slowly until Saturday this week. Thursday's show at the Byrncliff was cancelled because of the Sabres game. Friday I had off but I watched my buddy Ed Strawbrich's band, Last Exit, play at the Elmwood Lounge in Buffalo. I did a short acoustic set for him. That went well....I did a number of originals and a couple covers. Saturday was terrific because it was the 1 year anniversary party for the Light House in Olcott NY. Dave and Carol Miller (the owners) are by far two of the best people I play for! I can't tell you what a pleasure it is to play for them! The show went really well and I had everyone hopping all night long. I can't wait to play the Pirate Fest on July 7th there. Sunday I played a benefit with a number of artists and it was for a great cause. Quite a turn out. Nothing more to report. If you're reading this and you live in the area check out one of my shows. May 25, 26, 27, 29 and then some!

It was a tremendous week....almost too much to write about...Thursday, May 25 was the first of my summer Thursday night gigs at the Byrncliff Resort. The place had a great crowd and I can't tell you how beautiful it is there inside and out. If you're in the area check out the Byrncliff...go to: http://www.byrncliff.com/
Friday, May 26 I was at Bart's Cove Marina in Dunkirk...That place is awesome! Right on the water...boats pull right up to the bar! I'm going to be playing some Sunday afternoons throughout the summer for them. It gets packed then and I play outside...more like a concert. I'll keep you posted. Saturday, May 27 was another wonderful night at Gordon's. The Gordon brothers and their parents have become great friends of mine. The crowd really loved the music and I am going to be playing there the last Saturday of every month for a while. Monday, Memorial Day was absolutely off the hook...I played my weekly Monday show at the Southshore Beach Club and it had to be seen to be believed! It was the best weather we've ever had here in Buffalo for a Memorial Day weekend. It was about 85 degrees and there were hundreds of people on the beach and all over the decks! My family came out, many friends that I haven't seen in ages and my friend, Maria Hejna came with her family and friends to celebrate her birthday! So many people were there it's hard to describe. It looks like it's going to be a great summer!

Friday, May 12 & Saturday, May 13

Howdy,

Friday cooked because about five softball teams came into Tony Rome's! There were a ton of people and I played my ass off! It's always a great time there! Saturday was incredible...My great buddy, Lance Bishop hired me to do a private benefit for his softball team at the Lake Erie Italian Club. There was about 110 people with Blackjack tables, Texas Hold 'Em and Me playing. The Sabres were playing so I had to wait a bit for the game (We won!!!!!!). After that we partied and had a blast! Lance's father-in-law is the president of the Lake Erie Italian Club...I joined right on the spot! What a great time! I will play the event next year and it will be even bigger! I cannot tell you how many new friends I made at that show! Lance and his wife made 500 jello shots and Lisa, my fiance had about 8 of them! What a time we all had!

Hidden Hollow and The Light House

Friday and Saturday went great. I was sooooo happy because our Buffalo Sabres played one of the most exciting games of hockey I have seen in years against the Ottawa Senators...I know this doesn't have to do with my music but I was at Hidden Hollow setting up and we all went nuts! We won the first game of the series! In any case along with the Sabes I had a blast. Saturday Lisa and I went out to The Light House in Olcott, NY. We love Dave and Carol, the owners and they were all smiles when we got there. The only problem is that we thought no one would be there....I almost didn't play. Then everyone came in! It was really great because I performed different tunes that I hadn't played in years. It was intimate and the crowd asked for obscure songs and we all went away charged up! Have a great week and I hope to see you all soon!

April 27, 28 & 29

I had a wonderful week! Thursday I played at Tony Rome's for my buddy Dean Sorrentino's 45th birthday party. It went great. He was really surprised and the crowd went wild. Friday was incredible. Lisa and I drove an hour and a half to do a show at a new club called Mixer's Pub in Olean, NY. Mixer's is an "alternative" bar. I knew it was a gay bar before I got there and I wondered what the place was like. Know that I don't have any problem dealing with any person in the world but I did wonder how the show would go. It was fantastic! Jody, the owner was fun as hell and all the people there loved the music so much. It's a pleasure playing to a crowd that is so eager to have a blast and appreciates my music. The atmosphere was awesome with people from all walks of life there partying until the cows came home. I can't thank the people enough for the wonderful time! Saturday I played my first show at Gordon's and, again, it was fantastic. The Gordon brothers are great and their parents used to hang out in my father's bar years ago! I filled the place and they want me there every month! This past week mad me pretty happy. Come to one of my shows if you can...I'll try my best to entertain the hell out of you. By the way, check out: http://powunclehal.blogspot.com/ it's pretty cool!

April 21, 22, 23

Nothing really new to mention. I played Hidden Hollow on Friday and it was kind of slow. Some new people showed up and loved the show. I love connecting with people that haven't seen my show before. They enjoyed it quite a bit. Saturday I played at a great new place called "Kodiak Jack's." The owner was really cool and my girlfriend, Lisa new about half the people in there! We were way out in Marilla, New York. My friends, Maria, Cindy and Laura made the drive out and had a great time. I was bummed a bit because I was scheduled to play at 9:00 but the hockey game was on (God forbid I actually play music while people watch hockey...) and went into double overtime...I didn't play until 11:00 p.m....None the less, I did fine. Sunday was a private 60th birthday bash. The people loved it and I got several gig prospects out of it...It's all rainy now...I just want to watch trash TV and stay in my warm room...Talk with you later.

April 7,8,9

This week went well...I played at The Furnace on Friday night and Hidden Hollow on Saturday. I enjoyed myself but thye real fun was Sunday...I played a benefit for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Western New York at the Glen Park Tavern. Two television stations taped the event and my great friend and fellow musician, Michael Bly performed with me for most of the show. We brought the house down for a great cause! I was so happy to be part of such an event. I'm pretty tired...I played three shows in a row...I need to rest my voice. More later.

Tony Rome's and Hideaway Bay

This past week I played at Tony Rome's and Hideaway Bay. Tony Rome's was a blast because it was a party for my dear friend, Maria Hejna...She takes all the photos for my web sites...It went really well with plenty of dancing and such...Saturday I drove out to Silver Creek, NY with my girlfriend, Lisa and played a small gig out at the lake at Hideaway Bay. The turnout wasn't that good but that's the life of a musician in Western New York! The great part is that Lisa and I had my parent's beach house all to ourselves that weekend...It was tremendous. This week I am at: Friday, The Furnace at 3700 Southwestern Blvd. in Orchard Park, Saturday, Hidden Hollow at 444 Indian Church Rd. in West Seneca and Sunday from 1 to 4 at the Glen Park Tavern on Main St. in Williamsville (this is a benefit for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation). See you soon!

Friday, March 24 & Saturday, March 25...My birthday party!

This week was wonderful! Friday I played at a new place called the Furnace in Orchard Park, NY. The owner was awesome and it was great to be back home in Orchard Park (I grew up there). Saturday was amazing. I played at Griffin's Irish Pub in South Buffalo. It was my birthday celebration and so many people came from all over to be with me. The place was absolutely packed. We filled the front room and people spilled over into the bar. My friend told me he had a hard time getting into the place because there was so many people! What made it great was the family members and friends that showed up in droves. My girlfriend, Lisa arranged the whole party...The cake was wonderful and everyone had a ball. Danny Griffin, the owner of Griffin's got up and sang some Elvis tunes and "Cat's in the Cradle." He ruled! My music partner, Bob Luterek (the second half of Replay and Button-Eyed Eric) performed acoustic and then we closed with some hot Jazz! Seeing people like Freddy Zillner, the Sullivans, Maria Hejna, Ed and Diane Strawbrich and so many more filled my heart! Thanks to everyone for a great evening! This Friday I'm at Tony Rome's in West Seneca and Saturday at Hideaway Bay in Silver Creek. More to come...Peace.

St. Patty's Day Weekend

Wow! I was busy as all get go this week...4 shows and my voice held out! Thursday I played at Bennigan's on Maple Rd. I started with the traditional Irish music (jigs, reels and Irish folk). There was a a respectable little crowd there but I think they were gearing up for Friday and Saturday. When Friday rolled around I started playing at Bennigan's again! 3 to 6 and the place was packed with green beer drinkers! We went nuts! My buddy Ed came out and helped me pack up...I went and picked up my girlfriend Lisa and off we were to Olcott, New York at the Light House. I played all traditional Irish music (I'm the only Italian in WNY that does an authentic Irish show) and then some party bar music. For some reason it was pretty quiet in Olcott. The owners Dave and Carol loved the show but we were all disappointed in the turn out...People must've been drinking other places.

Saturday I did a private party at the Elma Conservatin Club and it was filled with people. I had them all doing the Unicorn dance dancing the Jig! All in all it was a great week of playing...

I'm really looking forward to this week coming up. I play at a new place called the Furnace at 3700 Southwestern Blvd. in Orchard Park Friday, March 24. Saturday, March 25 is my HUGE birthday party at Griffin's Irish Pub on Abbott Rd. in South Buffalo. If you are in the area stop down....It's going to be a blast!

March 9, 10, 11

It was a great week of perfomances! Thursday I played to a crowd of 350 people at the Buffalo Marriott. It was a special party for St. Gregory The Great Church. It was awesome. Friday I played at the Sonoma Grille and it was classy as usual with the people wanting more. Saturday was pretty special for me because my sister-in-law had a suprise 80th birthday party for her father and I was the entertainment. I played at Tony Rome's in West Seneca, NY and it was packed. I can't tell you what it feels like to move people with music. This wonderful old man was SO happy. I can't believe how much the entire family appreciated it. I closed the evening with some Sinatra and he and his wife danced and danced. It really was great.

Nothing much else. I'm preparing for all the St. Patrick's Day festivities here in Western New York. It's going to be a blast, even for an Italian like me! I love playing traditional Irish music. Feel free to comment on this post. I'd love to hear from you!

I'm Back!

Damn! It's great to be back. I haven't gone this long without performing in years! I hope everyone is doing fine. Lisa and I went to Montreal...There is far too much to say about that magnificant city! I'm going back during the summer...Gotta catch the Jazz festival. The streets are so alive...Great food and awesome sites. The best thing about Montreal is their love of music! There is so much to see and hear. The first night we went to a great Jazz Bar and heard a wonderful treo (piano, stand up bass and a female vocalist)...God, they were hot! I won't ramble on any more but if you get a chance...visit Montreal. It's the closest thing to Europe you're going to get in North America.

If you're not doing anything...here is what I'm doing this week:

Buffalo Marriott. Millersport Highway. Thursday, March 9 @ 6:00 p.m. (this is a huge fundraiser for St. Gregory's Church. If you can make it out it would certainly be worth it).

Sonoma Grille. 5010 Main St., Snyder. 204-0251. Friday, March 10 @ 8:30 p.m. (I love the Sonoma Grille. It's always alive with a wonderful crowd. It boasts a pretty sophisticated bar atmosphere too).

Tony Rome's. 1537 Union Road, West Seneca. 675-4351. www.tonyromes.com. Saturday, March 11 @ 9:30 p.m (come down to Tony Rome's! We have a huge party of about 60 people showing up as well as the regular crowd. I'm going to rock the place!).

More news to come...Check back here often!

Peace!

Feb. 25 & 26

Hi,

Man....Saturday kicked butt over at Hidden Hollow in West Seneca. I had quite a few friends show up at the show and we partied on until about 2:30 A.M.! Sunday was the 12th annual "Doc's Day For Kids" at the Buffalo Brew Pub In Williamsville, NY. The place had about 300 people there...It was the 6th time I played this event and it was incredible. We raised thousands of dollars for childern in the Catholic Health System. I saw some people that have come to my other shows there and I appreciate you showing up and contributing. I am taking two weeks off and I will be back on March 9. I can't believe I actually have a vacation! I'm going to Montreal with my girlfriend...I can't wait. Check back here for more news...I will still make posts during my time off. I'll see you soon!

Feb. 17 & 18

Hi,

What a great couple of nights I had. Friday I played Simmie's in Lancaster, NY and although the weather was really cold a bunch of people made the trek out to see me play. We had a good night of dancing and partying. I tried some new songs and it was awesome. I love when that happens. I love to work up new songs (or songs I haven't done before) and un-veil them so to speak. Saturday was excellent. I always have a great time at Tony Rome's and Saturday was no different. My buddy, Ed Strawbrich helped me set up (Thanks man!) and we both thought it was going to be a quiet night...We were wrong! More people arrived, and then more...We partied our butts off! Joe Sorrentino, the owner came up and sang a couple tunes and at the end of the evening told me "Man, this is your year! You always do such a great job here." What seemed like a slow night turned out to be "party as usual!" My brother Anthony even showed up out of the blue and joined the festivities.. Birthdays, friends, partying and dancing...It doesn't get better than that!

Feb. 9, 10, 11

Hey,

The week went very well. Thursday Bob Luterek and I performed as "Replay" at the casino at Buffalo Raceway. Replay is a side project that Bob and I do. It involves Jazz and more produced things. Bob gets a ton of sounds from his Roland synth module. This enables him to do sax leads and such on his guitar! It was great! Friday I was at the Sonoma Grille in Snyder NY. It's a beautiful, trendy place with a great intimate atmosphere. Saturday was an absolute party! I played at Fudd's Hidden Hollow and the owners, Shawn and Marsh were great to me. I had friends come from all over Western New York. There were 4 birthday parties and a retirement party going on all at once! I rocked it out and booked more gigs there all the way to May! Look for me there throughout the summer. I'm tired gang...I'm stopping short here...If you have a chance, join my group site at:

See you down the road!

January 18 to 22

I had a wonderful week....Busy as all get out though. I'll try to be brief. Wednesday I played at Average Joe's. Despite the horrible weather alot of people showed up. It went well. Thursday I went to the Buffalo Thrills party...For those of you who don't know, Buffalo Thrills is the agency that represents me. Learn more about them at www.buffalothrills.com. A ton of people were there. My buddy, Michael Bly was performing an acoustic show so I joined in. Nice to kick back and play. Friday I played at the Byrncliff Resort 11 miles outside of East Aurora, NY. What a beautiful place! It really has a wonderful crowd because people are there year round enjoying the lodges and the outdoors. They loved my show! Saturday took the cake...It was the first time I played at Griffin's Irish Pub on Abbott Rd. in South Buffalo...My friend, Danny Griffin (the owner of Griffin's) never heard me before and the crowd was nuts! Danny got up and sang, people partied their tails off and then came up and told me it was the best music they ever heard at Griffin's! Danny and I really connected... Go figure. Many of my friends were there including Ed and Diane Strawbrich and Bob and Gerry Luterek. Bob jammed with me and a great time was had by all. I didn't get to bed until 6:30 a.m.! That's it gang...I'll be in touch soon. I am going to record some new original tunes in the next two weeks...I'll post the music on MySpace.com so you can hear it and download the music. We'll be in touch.

January 13 and 14

What can I tell you? Friday went o.k. at the Holiday Inn on Grand Island except for the fact that management wanted me to turn the volume down (the bar was filled with people who wanted to party)....I was looking forward to playing at Tony Rome's on Saturday. I wasn't disappointed...Good God, The place was mobbed! It was so wonderful to see so many of my family members and friends. It was Lisa Santora's birthday and so many people came out. The sound was great and my buddy Bob Luterek came up and jammed on some tunes! What was really amazing is that friends of mine came out that I haven't seen in so long. It was a great experience. I am so happy when performances turn out like that.

Bennigan's

Wednesday, January 11 went great at Bennigan's! So many of my friends came to the show...There were people there that never heard me before and they were really entertained. I love that...New people enjoying my music...It adds to the vibe so to speak. It was the first time I played Bennigan's and everyone had a great time. I'm looking forward to playing there again at the beginning of February!

New Year's Eve....

You won't believe this...I played a rather "high class" New Year's Eve party with my good buddy, Bob Luterek at the Niagara Falls Country Club. As you may imagine, there was quite a bit of "old money" there and the average age was about 72. There were some young people but I had to chalk it off as a chance to play some kick ass Jazz and get paid really well for it. There were tables all in front of the stage area. While Bob and I were playing and entire table of elderly people got up to leave. One woman (about 82 years old) was wearing one of those velvet outfits, you know, the loose fitting burgandy velvet top with matching slacks. As she passed in front of the stage area her pants fell down completely around her ankles! I kid you not! We could see everything! They just dropped! The woman's son helped her with her pants and ushered her out while the bartenders looked at me in shock...I couldn't believe it. Later on Bob said that it was funny that an old woman dropped her pants for me...I told him I've played there a number of times without any disrobing...It must have been him! Ah....the life of a rock star!

Happy New Year!

Well it was a nice rest but it was great to get back to things. New Year's Eve I played a show at the Niagara Falls Country Club with my good buddy, Bob Luterek. It went really well. What I enjoyed most was playing quite a bit of Jazz with Bob joining in on guitar. We really did some great pieces and it showed me that I will do more shows like that. I get into the pure musicianship of those type of shows....Don't get me wrong, I love doing my solo shows and playing in all sorts of venues...I just love playing Jazz and standards as well. This week I start back at some of my favorite clubs...Tony Rome's and The Light House. Not much else going on...I hope you all had a magnificant holiday season!
